The City of Leadville has merged the building department with the Lake County Building and Land Use Department as of July 9th, 2018. All permits for building, mechanical, and plumbing will need to be applied for at the Lake County Community Planning and Development. They can be reached at 719-486-2875 for more information.

Currently, the County has a contract with Colorado Code Consulting which provides building, plumbing, and mechanical permits, plan, review, and inspection services for the City of Leadville and Lake County. The City of Leadville and Lake County have both adopted the 2012 International Building Code. The County charges an additional 65% of the permit fee for plan reviews.
